Shouldn’t we worry about both issues instead of using one to excuse the other? I would think "the media" is focused on both fentanyl and tariffs, to say the populace shouldn't focus on tariffs when its the central piece of President Trump's economic policy is somewhat silly. Also, according to Penn Wharton’s (one of the best business and economics programs in the country) Economic Impact Analysis, tariffs are estimated to reduce long term GDP by 6% (not 0.4%) and wages by 5%. Also in regards to your tangential claim that a sudden lack of Christianity is undermining the American work force, the Supreme Court, which has had a majority of Republican appointees since 1970, is responsible for the removal of prayer from public schools, which has been continuously upheld as proper protection of the Constitutional 1st Amendment rights of non-Christian students and parents for decades.
